President Obama to visit Jamaica and meet with CARICOM leaders

Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller announced recently that US President Obama will pay a one day state visit to Jamaica on April 9 to hold bilateral discussions on a range of issues.

During Obama's visit, Jamaica will host a meeting between Obama and the leaders of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to discuss US-CARICOM issues, including security and trade.

Obama will then visit Panama to meet with 34 other leaders in the Seventh Summit of the Americas as well as meet with with Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela on April 10-11.
