Mos Def video about force feeding at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba goes viral

Rapper and actor Yasiin Bey, also known as Mos Def, has highlighted the issue of force feeding detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba by the US Military in an online video that has gone viral.

In the video, meant to simulate force feeding conditions at Guantanamo Bay, Bey is shown in a baggy orange prison garb with shackles around his wrists and ankles, and he is strapped into a medical chair.

The video is an attempt by the human-rights group Reprieve, to spotlight the controversial procedures used by the United States military in force-feeding detainees who are on hunger strike at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba prison to protest their indefinite detention.
