The Annual Dominican Day Parade takes place on the second Sunday in August on Manhattan Island, New York City.
There are also Dominican Day parades held separately in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens, New York.
The Annual Dominican Day Parade was established in 1982. Delegations from the Dominican Republic participate in the Parade’s festivities, which includes floats, music, dances and costumes which symbolize unity, happiness and continuity of the Dominican community.
The Parade kicks off at 11:00 AM on Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) from 36th to 52nd Street.
